We have two new members of the family. No Mummy hasn't had twins, we now have two pet gerbils. The brown gerbil is called Ron (after a ginger-haired wizard) and the black gerbil is Rex (after a dinosaur) and are great fun. They live in a corner of our kitchen (the only warm(ish) room in the house) and have a two-tier house and a special little tunnel to sleep in.
They run around a lot, they have a ball which they roll around in and they have lots of food. They do make quite a noise, but that just masks the noise of our other little visitors that we share our house. We absolutely must NOT let them out, mainly because there are lots of holes they could disappear down, and other potential dangers.
